Sanoma’s design team wanted practical ways to use AI in daily work and a clearer view of what it could mean for design. Two hands-on Designer 2.0 sessions combined learning, experimentation and open discussion.
The training explored AI across the design process, from planning research and making sense of findings to developing concepts and visualising early ideas. Participants practised giving AI project context, refining its output and using it as a thinking partner.
The sessions also covered privacy, bias and transparency, and designers’ responsibility for the quality of the result. Discussions about AI-powered services connected the exercises to wider changes in design work and digital experiences.
The team left with methods to apply straight away and a shared understanding of where AI could help. Through familiar design tasks, participants explored concrete uses for a broad technology.
Open discussion helped the team connect current uses with longer-term possibilities, keeping human judgment and responsible use central.
